That’s probably a girl, and it’s not fat. Female rabbits tend to develop a large neck ruff called a dewlap, which they often rest on like this.
Apparently, the purpose is to provide more surface area so they can pluck their own fur to make beds for their children, which is just about the cutest reason any body part exists.
